Got out for a ride this morning. We’ve had WONDERFUL weather this weekend and so it was easy to get out of bed and dressed for a ride. I’ve not been putting in any long rides recently so I figured 40 miles was a good distance. No rain meant no need for the jacket but I still braced myself as I left the house.
It was a bit weird weather wise. Warm wind blowing down the valley, cold and still out of the middle of the valley. I rode east through Maloney’s grove and up to Edgewick, back down to Middle Fork, around to Earnie’s grove, across Reinig to the Mill Pond, behind Snoqulamie and up hospital hill and home.
It was both peaceful and beautiful out today. I kept seeing things I wanted to share so on my way down the hill from Edgewick I stopped to take a picture of the bridge over the South Fork with my cell
phone. I pulled over and got it out, lined up the picture and pressed the button to receive a “out of memory”. I’d let the girls play my phone the other day and it seems like they took a lot of pictures. It took me 5 minutes figure out how to delete some of the pictures and then I snapped this shot.

[...] After reading about Jeff’s ride at the weekend, and looking at his photos (great, great photos, taken with a cellphone!), I wonder if this is the time of year when the best photos of wherever you run / cycle / jog / walk are out there just waiting to be taken. I mean, just take a look at the photos Adrian took at the weekend, or those from Bill a couple of weeks ago. [...]
